2007 CLC Blogger of the Year Award
Blogger Awards Nominee Ranking Algorithm
To qualify for the award a blogger must have at least one new post per week and the blog must have been started no later than January 1st of 2007. Only posts that are 250 words or more will count towards post totals. The word count DOES NOT include quotes from outside sources.
The three high scores will be invited as nominees to CLC 2007 and will be given full access to the convention at no charge. The winner of the 2007 Blogger of the Year Award will be announced at the nationally televised Awards Ceremony at the banquet on Saturday evening. The winner will be chosen by a panel of 9 influential guests of CLC 2007.
ALL BLOGS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY AUGUST 1st, 2007
1) Frequency :: 10 Possible Points
(This frequency must be consistent beginning no later than January1st, 2007)
1 post per week = 1 point
2 to 3 posts per week = 3 points
4 to 5 posts per week = 4 points
6 to 10 posts per week = 6 points
11 to 20 posts per week = 8 points
21+ posts per week = 10 points
2) Technorati Rank :: 10 Possible Points
(Rank as of August 1st, 2007)
Top 150,000 = 1 point
Top 100,000 = 3 points
Top 50,000 = 5 points
Top 25,000 = 7 points
Top 10,000 = 10 points
3) Contact Page :: 5 Points
(The contact page had to exist during the month
of January and must have been present every
month since then. Contact page must consist of
a valid e-mail address as well as a name or alias.)
4) Networks :: 10 Possible Points
Member of a State Alliance with Alliance code present on blog = 4 Points
Member of at least 1 Conservative themed Alliance/Network = 2 Points
Member of 2 to 3 Conservative Alliances/Networks = 4 Points
Blogs that have more than 3 allainces on their blogs do NOT receive points in the network category. We find that blogs with more than 3 alliances present will appear cluttered and have decreased load times.
5) Load Speed :: 5 Points
If the blog loads in 4 seconds or less on a 3Meg ISP it will receive 5 points.
6) Comment Involvement :: 5 Points
If it has been determined that the blogger responds to a majority of the comments on his/her blog there will be 5 points awarded.
7) Conservative Message :: 10 Possible Points
This section will be graded by our staff.
Somewhat Conservative = 1 Point
Conservative = 5 Points
Openly Ronald Reagan Style Conservative = 10 Points
BONUS :: 5 Points
If the blog contains a banner ad or link to the CLC 2007 Blogger of the Year Award page there will be a bonus of 5 points. The link must be live and active by August 1st, 2007.
